Auto Trans Australia was established by Joe Vasile in 1984 to specialise in transmissions for all European luxury and performance and Japanese vehicles. From small beginnings in a workshop in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney, the company has grown to become the largest and most trusted transmission specialist in Australia.
Like any true specialist, ATA is passionate about always being one step ahead of our industry, and over the years has worked to improve industry standards and develop the most innovative, quality products and services that keep pace with the ever evolving vehicle technology.
Moving forward
ATA supplies transmission repairers, dealerships and mechanical workshops from all over Australia with incomparable workmanship, extremely complex transmissions, top quality reconditioned valve bodies, mechatronics and dual clutches and is the preferred provider of automatic transmission services to major clients including Australia wide dealers for Audi, BMW, Volvo, Land Rover, Volkswagen, Mercedes, Renault, Peugeot, Jaguar, Citroen, Nissan and Subaru.

ATA regularly visit International trade shows like Auto Mechanica and Rematec to make sure they are up to date with the latest trends and advancements in the automotive industry. ATA train their own team, ensuring they are aways the first transmission company in Australia to rebuild, repair and remanufacture before their competition has even seen the transmissions.
In 2022 ATA purchased the largest OE transmsision company in the country, Fluiddrive as well the largest torque converter company in Australia, ASNU Torque Converters. Between the 3 companies with offices spanning across the country, most transmissions and torque converters sold will be an ATA product.
